Quality Control.

The Brain Tumour Tissue Bank is uniquely distinguished by its quality control procedures and its impartial principles of operation.

TISSUE QUALITY CLASSIFICATION

All of the control slides are graded by the Bank’s neuropathologists. They are classified as good, moderate, or poor, depending upon the amount of tumour present – tumour vs. necrotic, fibrotic, haemorrhagic, and cauterized tissue. This classification is applied to all tumours.

  2. ii |

  3. iii |
